At the beginning of January 2023, Dr. Stephen Elliott and Dr. Prasit Wangpakapattanawong of Forest Restoration Research Unit, Chiang Mai University (FORRU-CMU), visited Souphanouvong University (SU) in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR. The purpose of the trip was to work with SU's Faculty of Agriculture and Forest Resource to establish FORRU-like unit at SU. This first day visit was to inspect a nursery being construted to accommodate seed storage and germination to be used for forest restoration. The FORRU-CMU team also worked with SU lecturers on revising the new SU's forest restoration course under the FRAME project. The trip is financial supported by the FRAME project under the ERAMUS+ Program of the EU.
