In October 2022, the FRAME partner universities from Thailand (Kasetsart University and Chiangmai University) and Laos (Savannakhet University and Souphanouvong University) participated in an exchange staff program for comprehensive staff capacity at the University of Helsinki 2-14 October 2022 and Czech University of Life Sciences Prague 15–28 October 2022.
Viikki Tropical Resources Institute (VITRI) of UH hosted the first two weeks. The participants learned about grant proposal and academic writings and took trainings for supervision skills, map in teaching (Remote Sensing and QGIS), and CarboScen.
The third and forth week was hosted by the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences of CZU Prague. The staff exchange program built a capacity including VR-related forestry practices, forest machine simulators, field trips to University Forest Enterprise for forest wood management, wood logs, log transportation, nursery management, and sawmill factory of wood processing.
